Sangu Delle: Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer.

Sangu Delle founded Golden Palm Investments (GPI) in 2008. Reflecting the growth and success of GPI and his focus on making a difference in Africa, he was selected as a 2014 TEDGlobal Fellow, recognized by Forbes in its Africa 30 under 30 list, and nominated as an Africa Rising Star by Euromoney. He was also listed by TIME magazine among its Tomorrow25 Future Leaders, nominated by The Huffington Post as an “Intriguing African to watch,” and Fortnight Journal as a “Promising Leader of Millennial Generation.”

Before founding GPI, Delle worked in investment banking and investing at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Valiant Capital Partners. He is on the boards of Golden Palm Real Estate, Golden Palm Financial Services, Rabito Health Services Limited, Stawi Food and Fruits Limited, mPharma LLC, cleanacwa, Mina Evans and the Harvard Black Alumni Society.

He graduated from Harvard University with Highest Honors in African Studies and Economics. He is fluent in English and French.


Banguu Delle: Co-President and Chief Operating Officer

Banguu Delle manages GPI’s business operations in Africa. He heads the company’s Healthcare and Agribusiness divisions. Before GPI, Delle previously worked at the National Bank of Canada and Altamira Investment Services where he was responsible for managing a CAD$50 million portfolio. He is on the boards of Golden Palm Real Estate, Golden Palm Financial Services, Rabito Health Services and cleanacwa.

He graduated from the University of Regina in Finance and International Economics. He has certificates in Canadian Securities and Professional Financial Planning from the Canadian Securities Institution in Toronto.

Ryu Goto: Partner

Ryu Goto was one of the first investors in GPI and joined the management team in 2011 as a Partner. He currently leads GPI’s investor relations and capital raising activities. He graduated from Harvard University with A.B. in Physics.

Mr. Goto is also an internationally acclaimed violinist who has performed internationally as a soloist with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the U.S. National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of South Africa.

Edmund Delle: Co-President

Edmund Delle heads GPI’s Real Estate and Financial Services divisions. Prior to joining GPI, Delle was founder and CEO of Dellino Investments Limited which focused on real estate development and FX trading. He has deep knowledge and understanding of local markets in Ghana, complementing the international experience of other members of GPI team. He serves on the boards of Golden Palm Real Estate, Dellino Forex Bureau Limited, SanBan Forex Bureau Limited, Delle’s Forex Bureau Limited, Mercod Forex Bureau Limited and Mim’s Forex Bureau Limited.

Alexander Marlantes, Investment Partner

Alex Marlantes is an advisor and investor in GPI. He provides lending expertise during the due diligence process for new investments, as well as advice to portfolio companies. Marlantes brings a broad range of previous work experience to GPI from Pinterest, the Hansen-Ballmer-Nordstrom Prospective NBA Group, Goldman Sachs, Valiant Capital, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He graduated with Highest Honors from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Complex Systems Analysis.

Efosa Ojomo, Chief Strategy Officer

Efosa Ojomo, a native of Nigeria, moved to the United States in August 2000 for college. After receiving a Bachelors in Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2005, he worked as an Applications Engineer (1.5 years) and as a Sales Engineer (6.5 years) for National Instruments for the eight years that followed. During that time, Efosa and some friends founded Poverty Stops Here, a non-profit organization that provides Nigerian communities with access to wells, microloans for small businesses, and primary education for children.
Efosa graduated from Harvard Business School (HBS) in 2015 and is currently a senior research fellow at the Forum for Growth and Innovation at HBS. He is working with Professors Clay Christensen and Derek Van Bever on applying the theories and principles of disruptive innovation in emerging markets in order to engender growth and prosperity.

Erharuyi Idemudia, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Idemudia oversees the global legal and regulatory affairs of Golden Palm Investments’ (GPI). He is responsible for advising GPI on all legal, corporate responsibility, transactional and regulatory matters. In addition, he serves as lead negotiator and completes agreements arising out of complex transactional matters on behalf of GPI. Finally, Idemudia is responsible for hiring, managing, and supervising outside counsels.

Previously, Idemudia served as the Corporate Legal Counsel for Face2Face Africa in New York City. In that capacity, he accumulated significant experience in commercial and transactional law, leading negotiations and completing complex television licensing deals, international business transactions, and joint venture projects in the United States and Africa. He was also involved in business development, successfully cultivating, managing and maintaining business relationships with existing and potential business partners and investors. Idemudia holds a juris doctorate from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in electronic media and communications from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Patrick D. Dasoberi, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Patrick D. Dasoberi currently serves as our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He joins GPI with over ten years of experience in enterprise based technologies. Prior to joining GPI, Patrick worked with Emboka Ghana Limited as an Enterprise Technologist and IT Manager, University of West England as a Project Manager and a Systems Accountant at Ghana Football Association. He also served as a Systems Analyst with Based Construction Mining Company Limited. Patrick serves on the Boards of Emboka Ghana Limited and Tizans Limited. Patrick has worn a number of awards for his excellent work including the British Council Star Award 2012 and 2006 Winner of UWE Business Plan Competition in Social Enterprise. Patrick graduated with an MSc in Information Technology from the University of West England (UWE), Bristol and a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. Patrick is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Management of Information Systems (IMIS), UK.

Mr. John Ngmenter Delle, Senior Associate:

John N. Delle joined GPI in January 2013 as a Senior Associate. He is responsible for supporting GPI portfolio companies. He currently serves as the Head of Operations for Golden Palm Real Estate Limited. John has previous work experience at Resorbis and BOD Construction Limited, both in the United Kingdom. He studied Computer Science at South Chelsea College in London. He serves on the boards of Golden Palm Real Estate Limited, Golden Palm Financial Services and Golden Palm Healthcare Limited.

Mr. Bright Gameli Gbeku, Associate/Administrative Manager:

Bright Gameli Gbeku is an Associate and the Director of Administration. He serves as Office Manager and supports all GPI portfolio companies. Prior to his engagement with GPI, Bright worked with Rabito Clinic Limited as an Administrative Director where he was responsible for the administration oversight of over 15 clinics in the network. Bright holds a B.A (Hons) Degree in Political Science with History from the University Of Ghana-Legon, an M.A. in Local Governments Administration and Organisation.

Edwina Amofa Baafi, Chief Accountant / Controller

Edwina Amofa Baafi serves as the Chief Accountant/Controller of GPI. She joins the company with over five years of experience at West Coast Brands, Baron Water House and Sinel Specialist Hospital. Edwina had responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial and management reports , establishment of effective systems of control, and cash and credit management systems, among others. Edwina graduated with an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University in the UK, and a B.Sc in Accounting from Central University College in Ghana. She is in the final stage of CIMA qualification.

Barikisu Muntari-sumara, Analyst

Barikisu Muntari-Sumara is an Analyst at GPI. She is a recent graduate of Ashesi University, Ghana where she graduated with a BSc. In Business Administration. Prior to joining GPI, she interned at Axis Human Capital, Barclays Bank and PJA Consultancy Services. Barikisu is an entrepreneur as well who managed her own bakery business to support herself during school. A MasterCard Foundation Scholar, Barikisu is passionate about giving back to society through empowering children from deprived communities especially girls to pursue higher education and attain financial independence. She works with the investment team and also supports portfolio companies. Barikisu looks forward to contributing greatly to the provision of capital to SMEs, especially those owned and managed by women.

Mr. Kwame Kankam, Healthcare Manager

Kwame Kankam serves as Manager of our healthcare portfolio company, Rabito Clinic in Kumasi. Prior to working at Rabito, he was the marketing manager for Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He holds a First Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) and also a Master’s Degree in Business Education (Marketing) from the Christian Service University and the University of Education Kumasi respectively.

Mr.Abdul-Ganew Asumaila, Accountant

Abdul-Ganew Asumaila is responsible for accounting functions in our financial services businesses. He has prior experience at Ghintex Forex Bureau and Stop Over Forex Bureau. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture Technology from the University of Development Studies and a secondary certificate in Agricultural Science.

Juliet Narkie Nartey, Healthcare Manager

Juliet Narkie Nartey is responsible for managing our healthcare portfolio company, Rabito Clinic Tema. Prior to joining Rabito, she worked at Midway Clinic-Accra for 9 years. She holds a first degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from the Methodist University College of Ghana.
